The Concept SFTrip a true one pass machine
The benefits:
The SFTrip in one pass it is possible to cover 4 steps all concentrated on the rooting and seeding zone. This can reduce costs per hectare by more than 50% compared to conventional cultivations.
The SFTRIP rotor strip till cultivator is designed specifically for cultivating in rows maintaining the soil structure, preventing soil erosion and protecting the seeds, resulting in the best possible germination conditions.
How the SFTrip works:
- The subsoiler lifts and loosens the soil enhancing drainage and water storage capacity (we use a Metcalf NG subsoiler leg)
- The powered rotavator tines create a cultivated seedbed. Each segment (strip) is enclosed by a rotating divider which cuts through the ground keeping the cultivated row separate from the non-cultivated row.
- Having the susbsoiler legs working between the rotavator tines is the key to making a good cultivated strip even on heavy soils.
- As the subsoilers lifts the soil it is immediately hit by the rotavator tines and with the dividers alongside the soil cannot escape and thus breaks the soil up very well
- Following behind is the packer roller which consolidates the soil ahead of the planter
- The 3 meter machines an hydraulic rear linkage is an option where a planter can be attached making it a true one pass system
