Field Marshall

The first single-cylinder Field Marshall tractor to be introduced in 1930 was the Marshall 15/30.  Field Marshall tractors were commonly used to pull agricultural machinery such as threshing machines from site to site. Once in place, the Field Marshall tractor would be used as the powerplant for the threshing machine, the tractor's belt pulley coupled by a large flat drive belt to the threshing machine's pulley. Field-Marshalls with tracks were produced under the Fowler brand name, being produced in the Fowler factory at Leeds. The first were designated the "Fowler VF", later ones being "VFA"s.

Robert H Crawford & Son first became Field Marshall agents in 1931 and therefore having sold a lot of tractors, when the opportunity arose purchased all the remaning Field Marshall spare parts and drawings from British Leyland in the mid 1970's in order to supply spare parts for those tractors still at work, and we still are doing so today, for people all over the world. The majority of the parts we make ourselves; some we still have made by the original Marshall suppliers.
